Perry's Steakhouse & Grille Review

Perry's is an amazing steakhouse. It's in downtown Austin, on W. 7th St. When we got there, we had to walk a few blocks instead of the valet they offered, but it wasn't too bad. The outside of the building is plain, but the inside is beautiful. It's huge and dark, with geometric chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, walls covered with wine racks, and gorgeous designs on the walls, floors, and bar. There is also a grand staircase in the back leading up to a classy party area.
Even though we made a reservation, we had to sit at the bar for about thirty minutes chatting because it was so packed, but it was nice. The bar tender was attentive to everybody, and the bar was spread out and not cramped. My family ordered drinks (which I hear were delicious). Then, we got sat at a nice, comfortable table with little candles. We ordered Carpaccio and Escargot as appetizers, and they would melt in your mouth. The Carpacio was basically a super thin strip of raw meat topped with kale. It sounded wierd at first, but it was delicious. The Escargot was snail mixed in a sauce that you put on a piece of puff bread.
For the main course I ordered seared tuna, and it also melted in my mouth. My brother ordered a kabob of steak, lobster, and shrimp. He ate every bite and wouldn't let me have any. My dad and step-mom ordered steaks and they were the best steaks they had ever had. For desert we got a fried banana and ice cream. The waiter's assistant came out and set it on fire right in front of us. It was so cool! He could have done the sauce a bit better though, the brown sugar was sticking together.
Our waiter, Daniel, was very good and knew everything about the menu and drink options. He wasn't too annoying like some are, but checked in on us just when we needed it. The whole dinner was amazing other than the wait and price, it's definitely high-class. But for nice occasions and celebrations, it's perfect.
